The National Cancer Institute
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is a component of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), one of eight US Government agencies that compose the Public Health Service (PHS) in the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). It coordinates the National Cancer Program,
which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination,
and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and
treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care
of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients.

The Wellness Community
The Wellness Community is a USA organization that offers a wide menu of support services to people
with cancer and their loved ones. Services include support groups, stress
management sessions, educational programs, exercise sessions and nutrition
workshops. At The Wellness Community, people with cancer join with others
to learn they are not alone. In doing so, they gain valuable knowledge and
coping skills that enable them to find hope and support irrespective of
their stage of disease.
